The <meta name="keywords"> tag was deprecated by Google over a decade ago due to spam abuse, and no major AI search system uses it as a ranking or citation signal either. It's dead weight — it does nothing, good or bad, for visibility today.
The fix:
remove it if it's still in your template, and put that effort into what actually matters — a real, specific meta description and a genuinely descriptive title tag instead.
